Happy New Year!

New Years Eve was VERY low key for us. And we needed it. After our two weeks up in Salt Lake we were ready to just relax and have a night at home. We weren't very good at documenting our evening events but here are a couple snapshots.
Lenny loves his Dad!

And Liam hates his Mom!

Just kidding, we love each other. On a sidenote, where did those cheeks come from? haha
Oh and it was this special boy (man's) birthday! We used to tell my brother, Colin, that fireworks at midnight were for his birthday, he was a bit disappointed when he learned that it was really just for the New Year and he wasn't really THAT special at all. I love this kid and I'm so proud to be his sister! Happy 21st Colin!
We spent the night at home, in front of the TV, watching Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve and sippin' on Apple Cider. We made an unsuccessful attempt of finishing off our Christmas candy. Looks like our new years resolutions are out the window because we still have lots left to finish...and I don't waste sweets :)

Liam went to bed early so I got to steal a kiss from this guy right at midnight... Happy New Years!
I'm actually kind of nervous to begin 2012. Not because it's the end of the world (or so they so) but because of everything that's ahead of me. We're now parents, I work full-time, I go to school full-time, and everything else that comes up in life. But then again, I'm excited... because we're parents and it's a new year with new beginnings. Almost like a new chapter. I'm excited to be the best mom that I can to my sweet boy, to be a wife and continually show Neal how much I love him, to progress in my career and education, and to become a better dancer. I love where we're at in life right now. It scares me that it will continue to change. I don't want Liam to grow up, I want him to stay at this exact age forever. Impossible, I know, but I still wish he would.

Here's to a great year!

  1. Wow, Erin, you sound like super mom! I will probably be a full-time working mom when my time comes and it's kind of a relief to know there are others who have to do the same thing. You have an adorable family!
