14 Weeks!

Our baby is the size of a lemon!!!

How far along - 14 Weeks! Definitely in the 2nd trimester now :)

Maternity clothes - I'm not showing yet so I haven't bought any. BUT My friend gave me some great advice. She told me that maternity clothes are made so that you still wear your same "size". I'm normally a small/medium so now I know that I wear a sm/med in maternity too :) I was putting off buying maternity clothes because I thought I had the excuse of not knowing how big my belly would be by the time I needed them. Now I can feel safe in making some cute purchases :)

Weight gain - Nothing yet, still sick :(

Stretch marks -Now yet, but I can tell my belly is changing! I've been having round ligament cramping so I know that it's beginning to stretch to prepare more for the baby :)

Sleep - I've had a sinus infection this past week so sleep has not been good to me. The only way for me to be able to fall asleep is sitting up so my sinuses can drain, lovely right? So- I'm looking forward to getting over this so I can get some decent sleep again.

Best moment this week - Neal waking up with me in the morning to hold my hand :)

Worst moment this week - Neal having to wake up with me in the morning to hold my hand because I wanted to keel over and die! Like I said earlier, I was introduced to round ligament cramping. Yeah- no warning on that. I guess I hadn't gotten to that part in my pregnancy book. I was awakened at 5:30 am feeling a little too much like Bella in Breaking Dawn. I seriously thought my stomach was getting ripped to shreds on my right side. I couldn't help but wake Neal up because I was in tears with the pain. It only lasted 30-40 min, thank goodness. Neal held my hand the whole time, he was amazing and he's always so supportive. I was so scared that something was wrong. I am so naive when it comes to "normal" pregnancy symptoms haha We called the doctor after the cramping had stopped and hey assured me that everything was fine :) We were both so relieved. I've had more minor cramping throughout the week but they have been nothing compared to that morning.

Movement - Not yet, BUT- I've read that women can start feeling the baby as soon as 16 weeks :) I'm so excited, I can't imagine how it is going to feel like :)

Food I'm loving - PB and J! I haven't eaten this many pb and j's since college. I was on a kick this week. I had at least one a day throughout the week, I was loving them. I'm sure I'd still be eating them if it weren't for the fact that we're out of bread.

Food I'm hating - Chocolate still isn't my favorite.

Symptoms - Throwing up... again. I thought that I was over it but apparently not yet.

Gender - We find out on FRIDAY!!!! I can't wait! Neither care either way, we just want a healthy baby. We are both just so ready to find out what we're having!

What I'm looking forward to - Finding out the gender :)

What I miss - Not feeling sick all the time.

Weekly wisdom - The 2nd trimester isn't the "honeymoon" trimester for everyone haha

Emotions - I'm keeping them in check! haha Even ask Neal... I did so good this week :)

  1. The ligaments, yes. Even with #3 I had them, but in different places. It seems if you are a dancer/gymnast close to when you have a baby, the worse it is since your body is tight and in shape. That is just MY assumption.

So sorry you are sick. I can't even imagine. I would rather die than throw up. With Jadyn, I wasn't sick AT ALL. Not even nauseated. With MaKai, I was nauseated and down until noon and then at 12:01 I was fine and up and moving. With Toryn, I threw up a few times, at night. Hang in there, they have moments of being worth it ;)

  2. I love reading your weekly updates! Oh and I guess your doctor hasn't told you but the "morning sickness" doesn't go away at 12 weeks, it starts subsiding at 16 weeks for the majority of women. So only 2 more weeks to go!! You're gonna be such cute and wonderful parents :) Oh, wait for a feeling of popcorn popping in your belly, that's the baby!!
