Kalamity

A couple months ago I tried out for a new dance team. I was on it a couple years ago, but had to take a break because of school, work, and rebelettes. Now that things have semi-settled down, not really though, I have been able to dance again! It's only been a year since I've been on a dance team but I missed it terribly! I missed the girls, the practices, and the performances. I was SO HAPPY when I found out I made this hip hop team because I wanted to be a part of something again :)

Kalamity is very special to me, I was on the original team when they first started with one of my best friends Tiffanie Shoell. Kalamity dances and donates every year to a different "Kalamity" within our community. Last year, they had the incredible chance to dedicate their passion and love of dance to Cancer awareness for Tiffanie who was battling a rare childs cancer for the 2nd time! She's amazing and truly is one of the strongest people I know... she's a survivor! It's been weird to not have her on the team, but I've met a ton of new girls and we've been having a blast. Practices are always a lot of hard work and sweat but we all have so much fun doing it! Especially when we know our proceeds are going to great causes :)

This year we dedicate every movement we make and share our passion with the Slack family at these trying times. Dylan Slack passed away this year from AT disease- a very rare and fatal disease that only 3 people in Utah are fighting. Dylan and Riley (his little sister) are 2 of the 3.

Please join Kalamity this year in donating to this precious family and sharing the movement of dance for this cause this year at Kalamity's 2nd annual Benefit Concert this Fall!!! To donate and learn more about Dylan and Riley and their family visit dylanandriley.blogspot.com. Keep visiting the Kalamity blog for more details for our 2nd Annual Benefit Concert this Fall at kalamitydance.blogspot.com.

I love my team, I love my coach, and I love to "DANCE FOR SOMETHING". Please keep Riley and her family in your prayers :)

Here's the team at one of our practices, I love all these girls so much and have a blast anytime we're together!
