Back to School!

It's that time of year again, BACK TO SCHOOL TIME! Neal hasn't quite had a summer break and I've had a little too long of a break. So, along with all the other back-to-schoolers, Neal and I get to include ourselves :) I started my first class last week! It's been a lot of reading and studying but I'm having a blast. I feel so good about my decision to go back to school. I want to get in as much experience and education as I can before we start our family :)

We're both only doing 1 class at a time and they last btween 5-6 weeks. Not bad, right? It's a lot of work because it's condensed into 6 weeks but we love that we only have to focus on one class. I think back to my bachelors and can't imagine trying to juggle 5 classes and working full-time! Plus- getting discounted tuition for neal and free tuition for me helps so much :)

It's been a lot of fun to study with Neal again. We did a lot of homework together when we were going to college at Dixie but somehow got distracted towards the end of my degree.... maybe the fact that us as friends turned into a little more during that time had a lot to do with it :) So- now that we're married, we can dedicate a little more time to school :) We get to study/read together everynight. Last week we bought our school supplies. Neal let me put together his binder so I could "organize" it for him. It looks wonderful :) haha

Our house has turned into a mess with papers and reading material everywhere! We try to keep it confined to our desk but lately it's moved onto our dining room tables with highlighers and pen's accompanying it all. We share the laptop and iPad so we have to switch off every once in a while. If he's writing a paper, he gets the laptop while I use the iPad to read and then vice versa. It's worked out pretty well for both of us.

I LOVE the fact that we can do this all from home or on breaks at work. I'm so grateful that we're not spending more time apart by trying to make it to classes after work everynight. Night classes at dixie are never fun :/.

"I AM A PHOENIX" We both are now :) I am so proud to say that! Neal and I are huge fans of University of Phoenix. We are so grateful for the opportunities it's presented us with my career and his schooling. We truly are blessed to be associated with a company/university like this. If I ever here negative comments about our school I seriously fight to the death to stand up for it, I am proud to say I work here and that I'm a student, I love it so much!
It's amazing to me to hear some of the triumph stories of some of our graduates. A lot of people don't have the opportunity to go to a traditional school because they have to work full time to provide for their families. Our university gives them that opportunity. If you're ever interested in hearing some of their stories and learn about our alumni check out phoenix.edu. We're having a ton of new commercials come out over the next couple weeks so be sure to keep your eyes open :)
