Oh where, oh where, has our beautiful weather gone??? St. George has been hit with Monsoon Season. We usually get a ton of storms in July but this year it got pushed out until August. This past week we've had a couple crazy storms... lighting, thunder, rain, and golfball size hail. At one point we thought we'd have to board up our windows because of how hard the hail was hitting the house. Leonard thought we were getting attacked by thousands of teenagers with pellet guns! Oscar, the sissy dog that he his, took cover under our bedspread. Leonard, the macho dog that he is, took it like a man and wouldn't leave the window. He wanted to be right with us in the action.

Neal, on the other hand, had to deal with this...........

Lenny's home was flooding! Leonard spends his days out back in his dog run so he was devasted when he saw what the storm did to his place. Neal, my superhero, put on his rain-proof sweats and hoodie and came to the rescue. He spend a good twently minutes out in the downpouring rain and hail to try and save Leonards crib from flooding. Neal was slaving away outside making sure that the water was, "properly draining". I don't think he was too happy when he saw a flash coming from the inside of our warm, clead, dry home :)

Saturday night was our good friend Sarah's birthday party!!!! Her husband threw her a surprise party at the church, we had a great turnout! My sweet Alicia made this beautiful cake for the party! I was so impressed, Sarah loved it! I promised Leashey that I'd put some pics up so she can steal them for her own selfish purposes... I would too if I was this talented :)

Nard-dawg, Leonard, has had quite the problem with putting his paws up on the counters lately. On his hind legs, he's almost as tall as me. Some would say that isn't too hard to do. Lenny is very curious and loves to feel like he's including. He's constantly trying to act like a human and help me clean the kitchen but clearing the counters for us. Last night, we found the little rascal with our fresh zuchinni!!!! Apparently, he thought we wouldn't be eating eat so he took it upon himself to try it our for us.
Here's Leonard showing off his sunday night snack.......
