St. Patricks Day

The BEST holiday of the year has come and gone!

Neal was awakened that morn' by his 9 month pregnant Irish Princess doing an Irish jig to Flogging Molly... not kidding. He loved it.

St. Patrick's day is big in our family. I was so excited to be in Salt Lake this year for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. Neal couldn't make it so Liam and I braved the Irish crowd alone. We met up with Jen, Mallory, and the kids to finish off the parade. Liam loved seeing all the dogs, and yes, there are A LOT of dogs in this parade. It was fun seeing the Irish dancing and local Irish families proudly walking in the parade this year. It's funny, every time I tell someone I'm going to the St. Patrick's Day parade they always ask, "There's a St. Patrick's Day parade in Utah?" Yep! Every year! :)
The night of St. Patrick's day Neal and I made it home from work and quickly got going on our Irish Beef Stew. We found the best recipe on Pinterest and it turned out amazing! We had root BEER and Irish soda bread to go right a long with it. Irish music was playing as we enjoyed our yummy Irish feast together as a family.

I'm very grateful and PROUD of our Irish heritage. It's something I take very seriously and I love learning about our family history :) I definitely missed having my Dad and brother around for our party but I told Neal that I'm already planning a big get together for next year at the house.
