Christmas morning is so magical and it was fun enjoying our last Christmas morning as a family of 3. Once 8:00 hit Liam decided it was time for Pop-Pop to get up. He walked over to the basement stairs and yelled down, "Pop Pop?! Santa!!!!!" Pop-pop was a little slow to wake up due to being slightly overserved the night before. He made it though and we were able to start opening presents with the rest of the family.
After presents my sweet Nana made us the best pumpkin buttermilk pancakes, scrapple, and eggs for breakfast! This is her and her little bird Ollie. They're the best of friends haha It was nice being able to spend a lot of time with my Nana. I look up to her in so many ways. This woman has 13 surviving children, my Uncle Timothy in heaven, and carried two more babies. Count em up, that's 16 pregnancies, 16 kids! Can you believe it!? Yes, this woman and my Pop Pop loved each other very, very much :) I'm proud to be a part of her legacy.
After having a crazy couple of days leading up to Christmas, we were all excited to relax and take a nap after the morning festivities. We stayed in that night and Nan cooked us all an amazing lamb dinner complete with her famous mashed potatoes. It was the perfect ending to a great and memorable Christmas.
