2 weeks before Neal started up in SLC we still didn't have any renters. We were not having any luck with our applicants and we both began to doubt. Neal reminded me that the home has only been on the market for week and we just need to be patient. That day we got a call for a family to come look at it. Here's how it went....
Monday: Larsen's came to see the home, loved it, then they filled out the application.
Tuesday: Larsen's signed the rental agreement and want to move in Saturday
Wednesday: We find a townhome in SLC and my mom checks it out for us, she approves, we fill out our rental application.
Thursday: Our new landlords find a new home and set our move-in date to Saturday.
Friday: We pack and clean our house.
Saturday: Move out of our house and into our new townhome.
This all took place WITHIN A WEEK! It was crazy trying to get the house packed, cleaned, say our goodbyes, ect. In fact, we did a horrible job at saying goodbye to everyone. Everything was happening so fast, and we were really in denial that the move was happening so soon, that we failed big time with saying goodbye. I plan on just flying back down to spend some time with my St. George family :)
Leaving our house that final morning was bittersweet. We are so excited to be up in Salt Lake but we were sad to leave St. George, our home for over 5 years! That house was our first together, we moved in right after our honeymoon, we designed it together while engaged... it's where we started our life together really. Here's a picture of us the day we moved in, isn't that U-Haul cute?
And here's a picture of us the day we moved out. Crazy how much our little family has grown in less than 3 years. 2 dogs, 1 child, and a 26 foot U-Haul trailer later, we are ready for our next adventure up in Salt Lake City!
We'll miss you St. George!
