Baby Watch '11 is in full force!
Over the weekend we were able to get EVERYTHING done. And I mean EVERYTHING. So much so that I about drove myself CRAZY on Monday when I didn't have to go into work. Labor day was pretty uneventful for me. Neal went to work on our friends house so I was stuck at home. I thought it would be good for me since I've been complaining that I just need one day off to do nothing. I slept in, I cleaned the house (again), I did laundry, I went on 3 different walks, I watched TV, and I took 2 naps. By the time 5 o'clock rolled around I was going crazy. I couldn't wait for Neal to get home! I don't think I've ever been that excited haha I was just bored out of my mind and I was ready to be done with my rest and relaxation day. I don't do that too well, unless I'm on vacation.
Neal got home around 7 and we were able to get ready for our special date night. I had been looking forward to our date all weekend! We decided to go out to this really nice and classy Italian restaurant, maybe you've heard of it? Olive Garden? We don't have too much to choose from here in St. George haha Nonetheless, it was delicious and we had a great time.
Over dinner I kept explaining to Neal that I am just so ready to return to work the next day. I don't see how you can just sit at home and wait for a baby to come, it would drive me crazy! It did drive me crazy and I only did it for one day haha
I got into work the following morning PUMPED to be there. Pathetic, right? Well just an hour into working I started getting dizzy, blurry vision, seeing white spots, and had a headache. Me, who makes really smart decisions, decides to google it. Of course, it means that both me and my baby are in a seriously dangerous situation and I need to get to the doctors immediately to get my blood pressure checked because I could have preeclampsia or something else to that extent. I over reacted, like any first time mom, and went right in.
They checked my blood pressure as I stood there shaking and told me the good news. "Everything looks good! You're good to go!" What? I'm not dying? You don't need to admit me now?
No- I was fine. And so was the baby. They told me to stay off my feet and get some rest. Some pregnant women retain water in their eyeballs and I'm one of them. That's what was causing those symptoms, not a deathly illness. So I left the office determined that next time I come back it will be for REALS! I go into my next appointment today and I am so anxious to find out how I've progressed :)
