39 Weeks

I've almost made it! We're expecting our little bundle of joy ANY DAY NOW!

Neal and I have been trying every trick in the book to help move this labor along. I figure that if it doesn't make him get here sooner, it will at least help me during delivery, right!? :)

We go on a couple walks/runs a day. Our latest has been nightly curb walking sessions. Thanks to a couple friends who have suggested this for me, I get to look like an idiot on the side of the road waddling my way up and down the curbs. It's quite entertaining for Neal and the dogs to watch. In fact, Neal made sure to make a video last night. I made him promise not to post it though, we'll spare you of witnessing that haha We'll keep it for family records and laugh about how silly I looked back then :)

Final preparations have been made so now we're just playing the waiting game. Every night I go to bed thinking, "Could this be it? Could it be tonight?" And then I wake up disappointed that he's not here yet. I've been enjoying my time off though. I've had a lot of time to catch up on the things I've been wanting to do forever. I go into work just a couple hours a day to make sure all of my students are taking care of. The rest of the day is devoted to cleaning, relaxing, and going on walks with my boys haha

Neal has been practicing holding a baby and Oscy is the lucky model :) Oscar and Leonard have LOVED all the extra attention we've been giving them the last couple weeks. Their world is going to change once this baby is here haha I'm kind of worried about them as dumb as that sounds. We've treated them like our kids for two years now! So- we're trying extra hard to spoil them while we can. This includes Neal giving them way too much peanut butter as we sit and laugh at how funny they look trying it get it off their nose and tongue. Yep- we're really mature.

So far I've still been feeling really good. I have a lot of pressure down there but its definitely a good thing. I can tell that he drops lower every day! I get a lot of contractions in the morning and at night but my days are pretty boring. No action there.

My next Doctor's appointment is on Friday. I can't wait to see how much progression I've made. And honestly, I still can't believe I'm having a baby this week! I dream about having him every night. It's surreal to me to know that he's going to be coming so soon. Neal and I are both ecstatic and can't wait to meet him.
