33 Weeks
Bump Watch '11
Are you remembering to take your prenatal vitamins regularly?
I'm trying!!! There were a couple days this week that I forgot but I'm trying to stay on track. I'm still using the DHA, folic acid, and flaxseed and they seem to be working great so far :)
Who do you regularly talk to and share all your pregnancy details with?
Obviously Neal gets the brunt of my pregnancy blabbing... along with everyone who reads this blog. My Dad calls me throughout the week to check in and see how I'm doing. My co-workers get to hear me complain about how much time I have to spend in the bathroom throughout the day due to my sweet son jammin out on my bladder. Natacia and I write e-mails back in forth throughout our workweek so she usually gets to hear my complaints. Kalamity girls get to hear quite a bit too. But really, Neal and Dr. Chalmers are the only two people that get to know ALL the pregnancy details :)
What specific worries or concerns do you have related to the pregnancy?
I was getting really anxious and worried this last week. I knew that I needed to just relax and stay positive. I received a priesthood blessing Thursday night and it was amazing. I was told that I would be able to carry the baby to full-term (38 weeks). I couldn't have been more happy about that. I have faith in blessings and I know that Liam will be able to stay in there until he's ready to make his way into the world. I can't believe that he could be here in 5-7 weeks! We are anxious to meet this little guy and welcome him into our family. Is your baby moving around yet?
Oh yes, and I'm now loving it. He's to the point where he's big enough that I can tell when he pushes his back up against my belly or I see a fist pop up every once in a while. Liam is testing his boundaries and finding every nook and cranny to stick his feet in. I'm usually getting kicked in the rib or in the side, almost to where my hips are! He's quite creative. I love feeling him move because it reminds me that he's doing okay in there. These next couple weeks are so important for him to stay inside and let his lungs develop so he can come out healthy.
What are your favorite pregnancy/childbirth books? Why?
I have kind of veered away from the actual child birth books. I'm just using my regular websites and e-mail updates from babycenter and whattoexpect.com
Explain what childbirth classes you have taken.
Right now I'm currently doing an online class from babycenter.com. It's amazing and I would suggest any new mom take it before going into labor! I'm learning so much and it's answered so many of the questions that I had. It's an online, interactive classroom so you can watch videos of moms being interviewed, doctors interviews, read different chapters, and ask questions. You go at your own pace so its really convenient to do whenever you have a spare minute. Neal and I still need to go over to Labor and Delivery and get a quick tour :)
Have you been nesting? What have you been doing?
When I was vacuuming my house at 11:45pm on a weeknight I came to the conclusion that my nesting phase is in full force!!! In fact, I had a couple reminders of how bad I'm nesting right now. The nursery is entirely completed. I cleaned the car twice this week. I made sure the windows were windexed perfectly. Neal had the dumb idea of spraying me with a water gun as I was trying to leave for dance and I flipped out at him for getting water on the car windows. Looking back, it was kind of ridiculous just how mad I got at him but in the moment I couldn't help myself. I held back tears as I drove away from the home.... so yes- nesting has been pretty bad for me.
