Staycation

Guess who came to visit The Burks!?!?!

These crazies did!!! Toss and Trev came into town late Thursday night to spend the weekend with us. We made a little staycation out of their visit :)

Friday morning the four of us went to the St. George temple to do baptisms. I love being in the temple with our close friends. That morning was really neat because Neal and Trevor were able to do the ordinance work for Natacia and I. I love the St. George temple, we always get to have really personal experiences there and the spirit is always so strong :)
It was such a special experience to be in there with Toss again. She played such a huge role in my conversion story. When you're in the temple, it's easy to have an eternal perspective and think about the things that matter most. I loved having both of my best friends in there with me :)

Friday night we allowed Mr. Ocsy to join us on our date night. We went to "Sunset on the Square" in the little ol' downtown St. George. It's a free movie in the park! That night they played Shrek forever after and I couldn't stop giggling like a little girl. I don't know what it is about those movies but I can never make it through one of those movies without laughing out loud. The movie was great and all of us had so much fun together... even Oscar.

Saturday morning we woke up early and hiked up to Gunlock Falls. I've been hearing so many great things about these waterfalls, a lot of my friends have already gone this year. Apparently the falls aren't always here. This year the reservoir overflowed and created these beautiful waterfalls over the red rocks.

The morning was gorgeous and so were the views! Oscar and Leonard tagged along with us and had a little too much fun splashing around in the water.



We absolutely loved it up there and couldn't get enough of it. There were a couple pools that we were able to jump in and swim around, even Lenny joined us! I'm so glad we made the trip out there because it really was beautiful, we all had so much fun!

Late Saturday night we treated ourselves to Samurai 21, my favorite :)

Toss even learned how to use chopsticks!

We ended our weekend by staying up late and having a movie night. We watched TRON and I can't believe I waited that long to see it!

I'm so glad they were able to make it down for the weekend. I miss being away from all our friends in Salt Lake. The four of us had a blast together, we definitely needed this fun weekend :)
