This week Neal approached me and asked if we could go to a softball game on Thursday. My immediate response was telling him that there is NO WAY I am playing softball. He assured me that I wasn't going to but that he would. What? The first thing out of my mouth was, "Can you even play softball!?!" He was pretty offended because apparently he was a baseball player AND played city league softball for a while. I had no idea! The things you learn about eachother when you're married, right? haha
I started giggling just imagining Nealson in tight baseball pants. He left the room and returned with his very own baseball bag including 2 bats (one for softball), 3 mitts, and a couple balls.
I had no clue that he had that hidden in our garage. I'm that aware of our belongings I guess.
We went out back and played catch for a while. He wanted to get "warmed up" for his games this week. I cannot tell you how funny it is to watch a 7 month pregnant women dive for some ground balls. I literally looked handicapped.
We had a blast and we've played catch together a couple times after that. Leonard loves to run back and forth in between us trying to catch the flying softball. He's pretty good at retrieving grounders but he's still really selfish and doesn't return the ball.

Thursday night Neal got suited up for his first big game! I ended up getting stuck at work so I wasn't able to make it. I literally walked up to the bleachers as they were walking off the field. I was so upset... like so upset that I had one of those pregnancy meltdowns and went into the bathroom and cried haha Unfortunately I didn't get to see him in tight baseball pants but maybe that's a good thing?
I can't wait to make it to his next game!!! :)
