2nd trimester and loving it!

It is so nice to be completely in the second trimester! I finally have all of my energy back and I can keep ALL of my food down :) haha


During my first trimester I only worked out 2 days a week. It took everything out of me to show up to practice and make it through the couple hours of dancing. Now that I'm feeling back to my normal self, I'm back to dancing 4 days a week. I love it! I have missed it so much!


From here on out Dr. Chalmers advised me to plan on gaining a healthy one pound a week. I was right on track at my last appointment so I want to make sure I continue to stay as healthy and fit as I can during this pregnancy. I've heard that the more active you are during pregnancy the easier it is to lose the baby weight afterwards.


Is it just me or is it hard to be told you need to GAIN weight? It's so backwards from what every woman's mindset usually is. I was having a really hard time with it at first, especially when I wasn't sick anymore and I started seeing the lbs. pack on.


So now that I'm feeling better I'm dancing more and taking Mr. Lennikins for walk every night.

Kalamity's studio, THE VAULT, started a hip/hip cardio class this week. I went this morning to try it out and I'm so excited about it! Seriously, any women in St. George that want to get a great workout in a fun atmosphere you need to come to this class at The Vault (kalamitydance.blogspot.com).

It's Tuesday and Thursday's from 6-6:50 am. It's the PERFECT way to start your day :) I love working out in the mornings, I just need to have somewhere to go at a specific time or there is no way I can get up on my own. I wish I was the type that could just get myself to the gym or go running everyday but I'm not, I never have been. That's why I love this class so much because it's cardio and hip hop combined. Tia, the instructor, does an amazing job and keeps us all going the entire time. So- if anyone is up for it, it's free your first time!!! :) And I'm sure you'll get a good laugh at seeing me and the belly of mine dancing like no one's watching.
