Rachel Duvault Photography

I've been bugging Neal about getting family pictures (couple pictures which probably look more like engagements). I wanted some updated pictures of just us before I start showing. This is the last time in our lives that it's just going to be the two of us- so crazy to think about but we couldn't be more excited. The years that we've spent together as friends, a couple, engaged, and now married have been amazing. So--- in honor of that- I was determined to get some pictures taken. I looked at photography blogs all the time but every time I checked prices I couldn't justify spending that much money on pictures of just us when we want maternity pictures, too. I finally settled with the idea that I'll just have to wait until the maternity shoot comes.

A friend in the ward, Rachel Devault, does her own photography. I'm obsessed with her blog and she always does amazing pictures of her kids. She wrote me on facebook asking if Neal and I would be models for a little "experiment" of hers. She wanted to take pictures of a couple at the St. George library. She had everything planned out in her head but she wanted to find someone willing to do it. I seriously thought this was an answer to my prayers haha I wanted pictures so badly that I didn't even care where we would be taking the pictures. I was beyond excited and couldn't wait to do it!
We met with Rachel Tuesday after work. We got straight to the picture taking and had SO might fun. Neal was such a good sport about it the whole time. He was so worried that it would like like a not so classy fantasy photo shoot hahaha Maybe- but we tried to keep it innocent. Regardless, we had a blast with Rachel as our photographer. She made us feel so comfortable and we had a lot of fun getting into the pictures together.

I am so grateful that she allowed us to be in this photoshoot for her portfolio. All of the pictures turned out AMAZING! We are so happy with how they all look. To us, they are timeless and we will cherish them for a long time :) I'm already getting some printed so we can add them to our picture wall in our bedroom.

You can check out the rest of the photoshoot on my facebook page.
