GUESS WHO TURNED 25 today!?!?!?! Biggy Nealson's did! :)
Since his birthday was on a Sunday, we did most of the celebrating yesterday. I woke him up with a big breakfast and then we got ready for his shopping spree!!!! Neal has been wanting nice tennis shoes for a while. He's been trying to save up his allowance so instead of him having to wait any longer, I surprised him with a shopping trip so he could pick out his very own :) He was so excited and found the PERFECT shoes. I'm so glad I let him pick them out, this way I know he really loves them and isn't just being nice haha And plus, if I were to buy the shoes without him I would have gone to Ross or TJ Maxx to get the best deal. But I splurged and took him to a Kohls sale haha He was able to find some Asics that he fell in love with, I'm so glad it all worked out! :)
After shoe shopping we stopped off at Kid to Kid to pick out a couple outfits. For the baby... not for Neal. We were so excited about welcoming a boy into our family we had to go shopping! I'm a cheapo and I have a hard time spending a lot of money on little boy's clothes, he's just going to get them dirty and ruin then anyway, right? :) So we went on a mini shopping spree for our son. I was able to get 10 items there for only $18! I'm in love. I'm sure I'll be making a trips to that store a lot :)
Neal picked out the restaurant for his special birthday lunch/date. We went to our favorite place, Panda Garden! We love this place and haven't been there for months. We used to go all the time when we were friends. The food is amazing and I can never turn down a good chinese meal :)

After we got home Neal was so excited about his 1st birthday present that he just had to show Lenny and Oscy. They were a little jealous. I had to explain to them that we don't celebrate their birthdays because they aren't human. They took the news pretty hard so I gave them a treat in order to make them feel better.
He was beyond excited so we stayed up even later putting it on the bed and getting everything set up. I knew I did a good job and he laid down on it for the first time and wouldn't get up :) I got a lot of points for that present :) And plus.... I scored too because we share a bed- surprise! haha

Today we woke up and had a crazy morning at church. Well- maybe not crazy for Neal. But definitely crazy for me. Gotta love those sunbeams and their "potty breaks"! :)
When we got home I made Neal his order of cupcakes (chocolate cupcakes with a butter cream frosting) and his all-time favorite birthday meal! :) I called his mom over the weekend to get the recipe for her famous fried chicken and country gravy, it turned out amazing!
So here's to the birthday boy----HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!

Happy birthday! Erin I think you need to share that recipe. It looks yummy!
