What's happenin at the office?

So I realized today that I haven't posted about my office adventures in a while! After recent happenings, I figured today would be the best day to update everyone on my office "going on's".

Life at the office has been good :) We decided that to enhance our team unity we would focus on doing a little team builder when we all get some spare time. This week we made time for WASTE PAPER BASKETBALL!!!

We all focused on putting a lot of effort into creating the perfectly balanced ball made from waste. Mine consisted of a lot of paper, tape, and a monogram to show my pride. Go Erin! Mine had a cute pink "E' on it. Martini had a "booger ball" (due to the color, not the content), Jon used Ninja band-aids to hold his together, and Joe was lazy... so it was just paper.

I told everyone I'd keep score. I figure since I'm the only girl playing that I better step up and make our scoreboard look cute. Who doesn't like cute, right?

We chose to go by age, that put me in a pretty good place to not screw up too much... last. It's easy when you're playing horse and you get the chance to pick the easy shots :)

Joe-Zay (co-worker Joe), Lil Jonny (boss Jon), Martini (co worker Marty), and the one and only BROPHY DAWG! (me) Yes- I know that my real name is Erin Burk but I still find myself falling back on the infamous name of broph-dawg. It's got a ring to it, ya know?

We were all pumped and ready to start the game. I had a few tricks up my sleeve that I was excited to pull on the guys.

Shots were missed- shots were made. I can guarentee I had the most creative (attempted) shots. Some of my favorites included skipping to the free throw line, spinning in the office chair and shooting the ball, blind-folded, up and over the cubicle wall without seeing the basket, and hitting an arabesque with taking the shot.
In the end, it didn't pay off. The men mastered my shots. From the looks of the picture below... maybe my aim was a little off.

I quickly went from being a "HO"....

.... to a straight up "HOR"

I wasn't too excited about being the first one out. But I always reminded the men that my claim to fame wasn't the score... it was my effort. We played this game all week and I ALWAYS came in 2nd place.... except for today :/
So maybe today I wasn't able to bask in the glory. Who cares? Not me. I'll get 'em next time. I told Biggy Nealsons that he needs to teach me his skills so I can dominate this weekend. I'm hoping we can set up a wastepaper basketball hoop at home this weekend. That will give me some time to improve my technique so I can come back and open a can of you know what.
Stay tuned!
