How far along - 11 Weeks... almost finished with the first trimester! :)
Maternity clothes - My sister told me that she has some extra clothes from her last pregnancy that she's going to let me have. She was one pretty hip pregnant lady so I'm looking forward to the maternity clothes. I don't need them yet- but- I'm sure they will come in handy soon enough :)
Weight gain - Nealson and I went to the doctors yesterday for an ultrasound and check up. I've lost 5 pounds since our last appointment from my nausea :/ The doctor said he wasn't worried though. I guess it's not until you lose at least 10% of your original body weight before they start to get worried. So- still healthy but still sick!
Stretch marks - Not yet, thank goodness! :)
Belly Button - innie yo.
Sleep - I'm now getting up at least once or twice throughout the night to go to the bathroom. Not my favorite thing in the world but it's a good reminder that I'm preparing for motherhood :) All of these symptoms are not fun but it has all been worth it! I feel so blessed to be carrying this child.
Best moment this week - Seeing our CUTE baby! We went to the doctors for our ultrasound. The baby has a very healthy heartbeat and is measuring right at 11 weeks. The best moment was when we got to see our baby move on the ultrasound. He/She was kicking it's legs and moving it's arms, I couldn't hold back the tears. It was surreal to think that it is inside of me. I still can't feel anything but I can't wait until I feel the baby move for the first time :) It was so exciting to see the baby! I love that our doctor does an ultra sound every time we go in for a check up.
Movement - (see above) :)
Food I'm loving - Well- the cheese and crackers craving has now just turned into cheese :)
Food I'm hating - Sweets! Seriously... who would have ever thought that I wouldn't have a sweet tooth during pregnancy. Nothing sweet sounds good to me... it's pathetic haha
Symptoms - I'm finally starting to get over my 4 week cough/cold :) The nausea is still there but I'm only throwing up every other day now so I think it's getting a little better... I'm hoping anyway.
Gender - We find out March 25th!!!! I have always thought that it's for sure a boy but during our appointment on friday I started thinking it's a girl! As we were watching the baby move around on the ultrasound I just felt like I was watching a girl! Who knows though. I can't wait until we find out. I want to go shopping and start on the nursery :)
What I'm looking forward to - I'm looking forward to finding out if Neal is my baby's daddy.... and the gender :)
What I miss - Getting through a dance practice without throwing up my last meal :( I haven't had the best of luck with that the past couple weeks. I miss not having to worry about where the closest bathroom is haha
Weekly wisdom - The Lord will bless you when you are trying to do the right thing. Becoming parents can be very scary but Neal and I have been able to put our full trust in our Father in Heaven. We are seeing every day how he is blessing us to help prepare for this child. I look forward to the future and to see everything fall into place. This experience has been a faith builder.... it kind of forces you to :)
Milestones - Turning down oreo's and milk ....
Emotions - Oh poor Neal... I had a bit of an outbreak this weekend. Nausea, no sleep, and stress = not a fun wife.
We LOVE Dr Chalmer's! You made a great decision. I am sad I won't be seeing him as much now.
ReplyDeleteSorry about being sick. Hopefully it won't last much longer. My prenatals made me sick so I took 2 Flintstones and drmamine so I wouldn't get nauseated.
Good luck with everything! I am here (and closer) if you want to talk. :)
