Whittier Wonderland

Neal's mom's side of the family (The Whittier's) all live in Idaho. The weekend before Christmas we were able to drive up to Pocatello to celebrate Christmas with her siblings and their families. I absolutely love this family! We all have a blast whenever we are together. It's so fun to have everyone semi-close in age. The youngest cousin is a senior in high school and the oldest is spency pants who I will not disclose his age....

Looking at the picture below, you wouldn't believe that it really was a fun weekend. BUT this is what we looked like after it was over. Before the drive home Nealio, Oscy, and I decided that enough was enough and we had to take a nap! We deserved it after staying up until 3 or 4 in the morning the previous night!

Awww- here is miss Brynlee!!! I love her! She looked so cute in her Santa hat that weekend. She was so excited for Mr. Claus to come visit her for her first Christmas!

Our weekend consisted of a lot of food and laughing. Our Aunt Cheryl has the wii... we got a lot of playtime in! All of us were obsessed with Wii Resort. My all-time favorite was watching the family play the ski jump game. I have some pretty solid proof through pictures of how funny it was.
Here's Charlene acting like a pro as she ski's down the hill.

I just love my father-in-law Mark haha He decided to go the "wing" route and fly his way over the ski jump. I haven't laughed that hard in the longest time, I couldn't get enough of watching him play this game. He was such a good sport and kept going :)

Cheryl and Doug asked us to bring White Elephant presents so we could do a gift exchange game that night. I got lucky and ended up with a SANTA SUIT!!!! This suit is going to be in the family for generations! I put it on as soon as I knew it was mine. I really think Neal loved it to!

Here's Nealdo making out with Santa Claus!

This picture cracks me up because it captures the relationship that Neal and I have. I'm always doing something embarrassing, I treat my dogs like they're my children, and he looks at me thinking to himself "I am stuck with you for eternity...."

My brother-in-law Scott was pretty pumped he got a Zebra snuggie!!! Gangsta Santa wanted to jump in the picture!

These next photos are just classic. I don't think he reads our blog so I figured I'd be safe to put them on here. And plus... what are little sisters for if they can't put embarrassing pictures online for all the world to see!?!
If Scott wasn't playing the Wii... we could assume he's really good at the shimmy.
Or .... do I even have to say it? hahaha
I am SO glad we were able to be up there that weekend as a family. We missed Neals cousin Sadie and our oldest brother Spency Pants but he thought he had a good enough reason to decline our invite. :)
We're hoping that we can make it a tradition for the next couple years while everyone is still in school to go up the weekend before Christmas. It worked out perfectly because the majority of the cousins are still in college so we were all off for Christmas break. I love this family and I can't wait until we can get together again! :)
