Thursday Thoughts

Update on NEALSON:
Neal has been busy as ever with work, school, and his honey-do list. He's been getting so excited for our vacation in New Jersey and training like crazy so he can stuff his face with as many philly cheese steaks his tummy can handle. School has been going great for him and he's now a junior! He's going to flip when he reads this but he's gotten 98%+ on his past couple of classes(he only does 1 at a time). I am so proud of him! He's learning so much and doing such an amazing job. He graduates 2012 with the rest of his brotha's (Scott, Nate, and Spency pants).

Update on ME:
Like always, I've been really busy at work. I'm trying to get as much finished now so I can enjoy our vacation to New Jersey next week :) I was recently promoted to team lead and have some extra responsibilities so I've been learning a lot! What I love most about this job is that it's always changing... new trainings, new innitiatives, new students- it's just lovely :) The past month I've been obsessed with the book series, "The Hunger Games". I've finished the first two and passed them onto my "Erin's Book Club" members so that they can enjoy them just as much as I did. I'm waiting in anticipation for Eclipse and the third/final Hunger Games Books :) I am loving the weather here in St. George and can't wait to get to New Jersey for beachtime and the boardwalk! This will be Neal's first big family vacation with my side of the family. We've done mini-trips to our cabin but this will be his first experience traveling with the Brophy's. I told him that I refuse to drive to the airport with them because I will not go through another "Home Alone" moment in trying to get out of the house. It's seriously nuts. My mom is throwing in last minute outfits, my dad is yelling to get in the car, my sister is making runs to maverick for treats, and my brother is on the computer.... and this happens everytime. Not fun. So we told them we'd just meet at the gate and get on the plane with them... I think it will cut out a lot of stress :)

Update on THEM:
Oh the boys! Both Oscar and Leonard have been doing so great! We got lucky with Oscar because he came pottytrained :) Leonard... not so much. But we now have good news! Mr. Lennikins is officially pottytrained!!!! No more doggy diapers :) If I'm sitting on our couch, Leonard will walk up to me and just stare at me with his big green eyes until I stand up. It's pretty creepy. After our staring contest is over (in which he always wins) I'll say, " Show me where you need to go" and he'll walk over to our back door. It's obvious that he understands english... neal disagree's. I'll open the back door and he'll go right to his "property" aka the dog run. Without fail- he will stare at me while he does his business and refuses to take his eyes off me until he's finished. I don't get it... is he making sure I don't lock him in? Is he embarrassed? Should I not be standing so close? Who knows.... once again- another creepy thing that he does.

Oscar is still just a perfect little gentleman. Everynight at dinner he sits across the table from us. We seriously just want to put a bowtie on him so he looks like he's in a tux for our luxurious dinners. He'll sit opposite of us and just stare... I think my dogs need to learn some manners that staring is not okay. He'll stare at us and pout because apparently we're horrible parents and so rude for feeding him costco dog food twice a day and he deserves so much more than what he's getting. Life is rough for Oscar.
