1 YEAR!

I got this pretty little baby in the mail today! (It looks invisible but it's a glass star that says, "1 Stellar Year of Service")
I can't believe that one year ago this month I was offered this job! It was literally an answer to mine and Neal's prayers. The first couple months here were a little overwhelming and I knew I had some big shoes to fill being that I was THE ONLY GIRL! It was a bunch of he-man-woman-haters here before I came. So, not only do I get to work as an Enrollment Counselor, I get to keep all the guys in check. Luckily, I have another girl on my team now.

The University of Phoenix is such a great school to work for. I love my job, my students, my co-workers, and being the President of the Party Planning Committee. There is rarely a dull moment here in our office. We work hard but we have fun. A lot of fun. I feel so blessed to say that I honestly look forward to coming into work every day. I don't get the Sunday night blues anymore :) I'm surrounded by positive and uplifting people that help me be a better counselor for my students. I get to help others along their path to receiving an education and job stability. It's amazing, hard, but so rewarding. I can't imagine ever having to leave here, I love it too much.

A couple months ago I received a little award and this is what was said about me at the ceremony and on my award certificate.... keep in mind this was written by my co-workers and read aloud to all the Utah Employees in my division.

So... life is good here :) I look forward to many more years! :)
