Don't Ask...

because I'll tell you anyway! The Burks are officially the new homeless shelter for dogs. A couple weeks ago our friend called asking if we could be foster parents for a sweet Boston Terrier. If we didn't want to keep him, we had numbers to call to give him up. Well, that didn't work out. No one wanted him, we put him on ksl for $100 dollars, someone wanted him, that someone's wife didn't, so Oscar (or Oscy as we call him) was returned to us hours later. So now we are stuck with Oscar AND Leonard. We are nuts. We're well aware of how crazy we are. BUT we fell in love with Oscar and he's now the newest Burk. Oscar was his given name so we were only able to give him a middle name... Phillip. How perfect is that??? Oscar Phillip Burk and Leonard Mookster (after his uncle) Burk. Life is good :)

A couple weeks ago we were asked to give a talk in Sacrament meeting. This was our first time as a couple giving a talk together so we were so excited about it. Everything went great! Neal got a standing ovation!!! Can you believe that? At Church? I know, I know, you're probably thinking that I'm making it up but I'm not. Don't bring it up to Neal though... he'll deny it. He's too modest.

Oscar has now joined Leonard in his bathroom ritual of jumping in the tub and getting water. Oscar is vertically challenged so he gets the leftovers from Leonard.

I love dancing with my boy! Neal just watches and laughs at me... and then gets mad because "Cesar says that when he does that he's trying to be dominant" So then, I just laugh at him, because I think it's funny when Leonard does this and I don't care if he's dominating me. I'll still always be a better dancer than him.

This is me trying to discipline our dog. This doesn't happen often so I had to document it.

  2. You guys have quite the little pack started! I hope you end up keeping Oscar long term, he looks like a fun little guy. Plus it'll give Leonard someone to play with. Good luck and see you soon!
