House updates

We FINALLY closed on the home on February 4th! 9 months after we found our builder, and it was finally ours :) We didn't waste anytime and got right to work.

There were a couple things we new we needed to change once we moved in. We wanted to add/change some lighting, paint the fireplace tile, and add dark wood floors on the first floor and the loft. Here's a couple of the before and after's:

The first two weeks in the home was rough and chaotic! I probably had one too many breakdowns over the course of that time. It was stressful trying to unpack, keep Liam occupied, and do the renovations we wanted. All the stress and everything was worth it though and it turned out perfect. Neal worked his butt off during that time and stayed up until 3 am everynight trying to finish everything up so we could feel settled. I love him so much and I'm so grateful for his willingness to do a lot of work, because it was just that- a lot of work!
