Leaving on a jet plane!

The sunday before Christmas we woke up and opened presents with the Burks! It was a fun prequel to Christmas day! We were so excited to give our parents their presents this year, it was fun picking stuff out for them.

Liam got spoiled by his grandparents and it was so cute to see his reaction to everything! He was a little taken back by the flying/screaming monkey and the tickle monster books (tickle monster gloves included haha). I'm going to chalk it up to his new bionic ears :)

We too were spoiled by them and got a gift card to Home Depot. It's going to help SO much when we move into the new house. We finished off the morning with Charlene's famous candy canes for breakfast and then headed to church.
Liam could not wait to fly on a REAL airplane. Not that he hasn't been on one before, he's been on plenty, but now he KNOWS that he's flying on an airplane and it made the experience that much better.
While on the flight I packed everything I thought possible to keep him busy during the long ride over to the east coast. One activity was a sticker set of the nativity complete with the story of Christ's birth. I thought it would be perfect to keep him busy and to try to focus on the real meaning of Christmas. Well, Liam though otherwise. He didn't agree with baby Jesus being in a manger, no, that wasn't good enough. He felt that baby Jesus needed to be on Pop Pop's belly... along with the shepherds, and wisemen, and camels, and sheep. I'm not sure where the Angel ended up, but regardless, Pop Pop woke up with lots of Christmas Spirit.
