Yesterday after work I got together with my girlfriends for a Girls Night. We usually do this AT LEAST once a month and I'm so grateful for it. The point of the night was to work on Madi's decor for the bridal shower, paint our nails, wax our faces, plan the shower, and celebrate Kal's birthday. Well- we did all of that and more! Including a photo shoot with some pretty awesome duck faces. Oh- and lots and lots of chocolate chip cookies. It was a great night!
Leaving my girlfriends, I drove over to my Dad's house and picked up my sweet sleeping baby. My dad babysat him for the night so I could go. They spent the evening going on a walk, playing with Liam's new ball, and watching cartoons. Liam loved it and fell asleep in my Dad's arms after he sang to him.

On the drive home I called Neal and told him all about my night. We caught up on the day, vented about our frustrations, and then decided it was a better idea to talk about all these once I was OFF the road :)
Getting off the phone I couldn't help but think how blessed I am at this point in my life. Spent the night with my greatest friends, got to see my amazing father, have a healthy and happy baby boy sleeping in the backseat, and a loving husband waiting for me at home. I was overcome with gratitude. Although this life may not be perfect, we still get to have perfect moments. This was one for the books.
