It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

'Tis the season! Christmas is just around the corner and we've been celebrating all month in preparation for the big day. Grandma loves to read "Twas the night before Christmas" to the kids, they love it even more. Brynlee and Liam (and soon enough Huddy Buddy) LOVE to climb up onto Grandma's bed. Now- what they really love to do is jump but for safety reasons we throw them onto the pillows and keep them busy reading books instead.
We made Gingerbread Houses! Bryn, Jen, and Huddy came over and we decorated some candy Gingerbread homes. Jen and I were cop outs and opted for the pre-constructed homes that came with candy AND icing. It was too easy to pass up. The kids enjoyed eating our beautiful creations. It seemed as if every time we'd put the candy on, they'd take it off. Sugar high by the end of the night, that's for sure :)
Here's Liam- newly nicknamed "The Candy Klepto"
Gosh I just love her! How sweet (yet obviously mischevious) is her little face!? It's so fun to have a little girl around.
And the sweetest most lovable little boy, Hudson. He was a champ that night. He had been in Primary Children's hospital all week but was still feeling up to joining in on the holiday fun. Love him.

The next morning Liam sat down and took the time to write a letter to the one and only, Santa Claus. Grandpa helped him out.

Grandpa also helped by informing us of Santa's address. Did you know the post office makes all letters go through Alaska to get to the North Pole? Who knew...

When we were finished, we headed over to Santa's cottage that he has right in Farmington, Utah! So convenient. Luckily we caught him at a good time and we're able to walk right in. I don't think the other kids in the neighborhood knew he was there yet so Liam lucked out and got to spend a lot of time with him. He sat on his lap but refused to look at him. And I mean refused. He didn't cry but he did fail to acknowledge Santa was even there! Mom and Dad were too cheap to buy the pictures but the memories are sealed with us :)

After leaving the cottage with a candy cane in tow, we were able to mail Liam's official letter to Santa in the North Pole. Liam's worried that Santa might forget exactly what he wanted so he made sure to cover all his bases by sending a letter, too.
