Jersey Shore

Back in August we made our trip to the east coast to visit The Brophy's! I look forward to going out here everytime. My dad grew up in Philadelphia but spent his summers in New Jersey at the shore. My family has since then bought homes in Sea Isle City so their families can share memories each summer. We had the privilege of flying back there to visit with every one and spend a week at the beach! This boy was pretty excited about it.

It wasn't his first time at the beach but he sure did love it. This was the first time he was able to actually get in the sand and play around. He had his fair share of 'sand'wiches and could usually be seen stuffing his face with fistfulls of sand. Yummy.....

My cousin's wife Jacki had a little girl, Madelin, just a couple weeks before Liam. They loved playing together and stealing each other's toys.... so maybe they didn't love playing together.
Here are my two cousins! Maria (the italian) and Colleen (a proud Irish). This was probably one of the few moments I was able to sit down and relax before having to get up and chase a crazy little white boy down the beach.

Sandbaby! I feel like for every hour we were at the beach it was another hour cleaning him off. I'm STILL finding sand on that kid.
Just some (and I'm not exaggerating) of his cousins. I think we're up to 60?
The BEAUTIFUL backyard we got to enjoy while there! The front of the house looked out toward the beach while the back was this gorgeous bay. We were spoiled with this view.

Every night we were able to play a couple rounds of celebrity (ultimate charades) and Left Center Right. I love spending time with my family, they are all hilarious and I wish we could have grown up living closer together. My dad's brothers and sisters (all 13) are so much fun to be around. I miss them already.
Uh Oh.... Liam got into the famous boardwalk chocolate covered pretzels!
FINALLY meeting the Bracken's! We never really got to keep in touch with my mom's side of the family after her parents passed. Colleen and I were able to be reunited with our long lost cousins, aunts, and uncles. Liam wasn't impressed.

Liam loved being able to go into the water with Neal. I refused to so I'm glad that Neal braved those shark invested waters to give his son a great experience. Every time Liam saw the ocean he would begin screaming and kicking his feet with excitement.
There's that view again! Can you believe it? I would sit on the back porch each night watching the amazing sunsets. I cannot wait to go back.

Boardwalk baby!!! This is one of my favorite parts about the Jersey Shore! We love to shop, eat, and check out the rides. The people watching isn't that bad either.

The Burks! Love my little family!
Liam could not enough of this carousel ride. I think we did it three times? Neal and I had to take turns so we didn't get sick. It was worth it though, Liam was in awe.
I love this little boy!!! I loved being able to go on these rides with him. He would scream the whole time trying to follow the what the other kids were doing.

It was a great trip and I can't wait to get back there next year!!!
