X-Games 2012

So when you're husband works for Delta, and you get free flights, you need to take advantage of it.

A lot. 

And I do :)

Over the weekend I took a quick trip out to California to visit with family and go to the X-Games. Friday afternoon I left work early to fly to San Diego and hit up the beach with my cousin Colleen! 

And Saturday we drove up to LA to attend the 2012 X-Games!!!!

My other cousin Meghan works for the X-Games team so she hooked us up with All Access Passes to the events. So incredible! (and her thank you card is already in the mail). 

We got to see all the behind the scenes. We even made it in front of the camera quit a few times. Check out the reruns and you'll see us in the background of skateboard and bmx vert half-pipe. It got kind of awkward knowing that we were being filmed but cool nonetheless. 

Did anyone see this? Real-lifesize hot wheels did this. It was insane and I think I stopped breathing. 

Here she is! Meghan is the one who works for ESPN. She seriously has a dream job. She works so hard at what she does and she's amazing at it. The events were incredible and it's all thanks to her and her team that put it together! 

So it was a short mini-vacation but I'm so glad I was able to get away. I felt the usual mom guilt of leaving my baby at home. I couldn't wait to see him. It's fun having kids because you actually have something to look forward to coming home to after the vacation. 

Next trip.... LAS VEGAS in July! :)
