REWIND! I'm well aware that it's the end of April but I refuse to forget about posting about our St. Patrick's Day celebration.
We were planning on waking up early and going to the parade to show off our little Irish bundle of joy but the weather got in the way of our morning plans. So instead- we accompanied Pop Pop at work to drop spread some Irish Cheer! Neal and I followed Pop Pop and Liam around like Paparazzi. My Dad was so excited to show off his new grandson. We walked around the warehouse greeting all the weekend workers. Most were quite confused because their concept of St. Patrick's Day is a little different then my family's. Most are from Cambodia so they were really shocked to see my Dad's outfit for the day.
The entire clan came over (the mexican's, italian's, and all!). We were greeted by a crazy green haired woman that handed out pots of gold with REAL money in it! We feasted on corned beef and cabbage and green beer. Well, not EVERYONE partook of the beer but it was there. It was so fun to have the whole family together again. We tried talking about the real meaning behind St. Patrick's Day and we couldn't really come up with an answer. None of us know really, we just think it's the perfect day to show our Irish Pride! As my dad always says, "It's a day the Irish never forget, but the next day they can never quite remember."
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! :)
Oh... and Neal applied for a position at Delta Airlines.... :)
