It does what!?!

My father is the ULTIMATE consumer. So much so that he insisted on getting Neal and I and "The Baby Monitor of all Baby Monitors". My dad was talking to one of his employees and asked what some are the "must have" baby items right now. Apparently, this woman could not have survived without her video monitor for her newborn. She insisted that Neal and I NEEDED one. That's all my dad had to hear before he was online ordering one for his new grandson.
Now- I'm not complaining. I just think it's funny. How did people survive back in the day with just a sound monitor? Or wait... what about those who didn't have monitors at all!?! How did they sleep through the night?
With technology today... we are spoiled. And I am grateful for it. I thought it was a joke when he told us that he got us one. It came in the mail a couple days later and that's when Neal found himself lost in the Users Guide. It really is nice to be able to turn over in bed and see a clear picture of the baby's crib. I will instantly know that he's safe and sound :)

The features on this are insane. It has night vision....yes... night vision. You can put a memory card in it and record video, if you ever wanted to watch a video of your baby sleeping? I'm guessing?

Bless my Dad's heart. I'm grateful for him and his ultimate consumer lifestyle that we are now reaping the benefits of :) This is something we would NEVER purchase for ourselves but we are so happy now that we have it. It's definitely a uneccesary luxury that we're not going to complain about having in our home.

  1. that monitor looks awesome! technology these days... We bought an angel care monitor (it monitors movement and beeps if the baby stops breathing) and it was so addicting. I had to have it on every night but it really did help me sleep better.

  3. Ah! I don't mean to be the party pooper but be careful with those monitors - I saw on the news awhile back that it is easy for someone to access the channel the monitor is on and see exactly what you see on the monitors. There was some nut that had every baby monitor possible and just drove around neighborhoods listening to conversations and watching little kids through those monitors. Just something to be aware of!!!
