He was asking us who we planned on having in the delivery room. I told him that both sets of parents would be driving down from Salt Lake the minute they get the call that I'm being admitted. Okay, maybe not the MINUTE they find out but hopefully pretty close so they make it in time :)
Chalmers went on to ask what our Dad's did for a living. I explained that mine is the Director of Marketing for a biotechnology medical supplies company and Neal's was the Director of Rice Eccles Stadium up at the U. The look he gave me had me assuming he was excited about the news so I went on to inform him that I feel like I married into royalty. We get box seats or sideline tickets whenever we want. My father-in-law spoils us and the rest of the family, we're pretty lucky. I was quickly informed that he's a huge BYU fan. Grew up in happy valley, byu alum, and dreams of season tickets to their games. I knew we were in trouble. I advised Chalmers NOT to bring this obsession of his up in front of our fathers... it would not go over well. #1, my father-in-law works there and #2, my Dad's a Catholic.
I left the office and texted our parents the usual update with an added warning...
Mom, Dad, Mark, Charlene: "Just left the doctors office. Good news is the Liam is almost 6 lbs and has a healthy heartbeat. Bad news is our Dr. is a BYU fan. He's threatening to wear his Y scrubs in the delivery room..."

Dad: "Change doctors! His decision making skills have been compromised. Sweet Jesus!"
Mark: "I guess it doesn't matter what uniform he wears as long as he can catch."
Perfect timing, too. The "Holy War" is scheduled for September 17th... my due date. Looks like we might be watching the game from the hospital. Please pray that BYU will win, for my sake. I don't want to upset my Dr. during the delivery of my firstborn.
