Last weekend we drove to California to break the news to my mom, Judy. Her and her side of the family all live out there! It was SO good to catch up with everyone.
We arrived Friday afternoon and went straight to my Aunts house. My mom and family were all waiting there for us. While we were eating our delicious pizza dinner I gave my mom a belated birthday present, the special gift certificate we gave to other parents.
She opened up the gift certificate and screamed, "WHAT!?!" Everyone was just staring at her looking confused as to why she was so excited over a gift card haha They all thought that it was for a lot of money or something. But little did they know- we were adding a new addition to our family!!!! My mom looked at me and screamed again, "YOU'RE PREGNANT!?!?!" So funny! haha But that time everyone was screaming and tears were coming down. They were all so excited for us! I got so emotional at this point. I can't wait to give my mom her first grandchild!
She is already starting to plan time off this fall to come out and stay with us to help with the baby :) She was so cute and so excited for the news. The entire family was! This will be the first baby of all our cousins on this side, I can't wait for the baby to be here!
We stayed the night at my Aunts, it was so nice to spend time with my family. We all had a great time and I wish we lived closer to them!
Saturday morning we woke up early and tried to make it to the San Diego temple. This is our third attempt we've made to go to this temple. Third time is not a charm. It was closed AGAIN! We need to be more diligent in checking the temple schedule because this was the second time this had happened to us haha The first time we tried going Neal forgot his recommend.
We took a quick picture and set out on our journey to pick up Neal's parents from the airport.
Saturday afternoon Neal's parents flew into California for Marks work conference. We picked them up and drove out to Huntington Beach to enjoy the next few days in the sun. It wasn't beach weather but it was warm enough to wear a light jacket and enjoy the views!
I wish I would have taken more pictures, I need to do better at that! We had so much fun with his parents checking out the local shops and restaurants. We wish we knew what we were having because there were so many cute little baby clothes! 
The weekend was so relaxing! We got to sleep in, enjoy time with his family, and spend time with each other. I absolutely love going to visit California. It was just the break that we needed :) BIG THANK YOU to his parents for letting us crash in their room for two nights. It probably wasn't too fun to hear your daughter-in-law lose it a couple times due to morning sickness haha They were always so sweet though. I came out of the bathroom one time and my father in law Mark said, "Wow, we've got some noisy neighbors" haha I was so embarrassed but he definitely made me feel not as stupid. I love my family and I'm so grateful for all that they do! :)
