Kalamity Practice

I practice with my team 3 days a week, this Saturday was my favorite practice because we had a very special guest with us. One of my best friends, Tiffanie, came to visit us. We were on the original team together 3 years ago. Last year, Kalamity did a benefit concert for Tiff to help her with medical bills from her cancer treatments. 1 year later... Tiff is now a 2 time cancer survivor!!!! I am so proud of her! It was such a blessing to have her at our practice on Saturday, she is our biggest inspiration.
I love all of these girls so much! I look forward to practices every week (even tuesday mornings at 5 am!). Please please please come and support our cause this year! All of our proceeds are going to the Slack family to help with medical bills, our benefit concert is Dec 3 and 4 at 7 30 pm. The show is going to be awesome and it's for a great cause!

At the end of the practice, Tia (our director) asked Tiff to give us some advice. Tiff started tearing up and told us not to take dancing for granted because you never know when it's going to be your last 8 counts.
Practice was over, we were taking our pictures, and saying our goodbyes. Tiff said that watching us dance made her want to dance again. She lost all her muscle during chemo so it's been a challenge for her to get back to dancing. She stood up... walked to the middle of the floor... and asked someone to push play. One by one each of us put down our things and joined her. We were all in shock with how good she was doing... she was dancing again! Stumbling through some parts and slowing down on others- tiff had the biggest smile on her face. I literally had to stop watching her because I had tears in my eyes. It was one of the most inspiring things for me to see.
Tiff is going to make a full recovery and she will be able to fully dance again. Those that saw Tiff before her second battle with cancer are so blessed to have seen her dance before. She was amazing and she soon will be amazing again. I told her that once she hits full recovery that she needs to go on SYTYCD so the world can see how beautiful she is (as a dancer and person) and she can tell her story. The fact that she has survived cancer both times, 6 months old and 20 years old, is a testimant that she is made for great things here on this earth. Heavenly father is saving her for something very very special. She is a survivor and an inspiration to all those around her. I am honored to have danced with her for so long and I am so grateful that we are still friends. I love her so much and look up to her in so many ways, she's amazing!
