Last weekend

Neal and I had such a great weekend! Friday night we had "date night" and went out with our bffcouple Will and Tere (tee-air). We hit up Benja's for dinner and shared a spicy but fabulous meal together. Then- we saw the actual movie DATE NIGHT and found ourselves laughing out loud in the theater. If you know Neal, he's not much for loud laughter so I knew it was funny when he was dying laughing so hard on some of the funny parts. What made it even better is that I think us 4 were the only ones that really thought it was hilarious. I kept thinking to myself, "come on people, this is funny stuff, why aren't you as fun as we are?" Oh well, we all had a blast together and look forward to many more date nights.
Saturday we got to really enjoy the beautiful sunny weather here (84 degrees baby) and spent the day at the dog park. We decided to dehydrate both our dogs and walk everyone to the dogpark. Once there, the first thing they did was jump in the plastic kiddy pool. Like usual, the dumb pitbull mix just HAD to come over and pee in it. The reason I find it so annoying is that I have a stupid dog that pays no attention to the fact the he's now splashing around in urine water, all he wants is for someone to join him in the pee infested pool. He loves it! Usually Oscar just feels bad for him so he'll stand in the water to make Lenny feel better.

We both got some color (that color being red) and we're happy with our afternoon. We love our saturdays together because we finally get to relax after our crazy week.

Saturday night we watched 500 day's of Summer at our house. Lenny and Oscy wanted to watch it too so we had a family movie night...blankets, popcorn, reese's shakes, ect. It was so fun! We LOVED the movie, it was definitely different but it allowed us to vent about times in our life when we were blown off like that... (go Jeff and Michelle) haha Neal MIGHT kill me for posting that but I thought it was a funny conversation. Anyway, there was a quote in there that fit Mr. Biggy Nealson's PERFECTLY. I am totally stealing it from the movie, however- I'm putting my own little twist on it.

"Neal is better than the man of my dreams... He's real."

That quote means so much to me because it is very true. I can't believe I found a guy that loves me for me. Now I'm not saying he loves everything about me, because contrary to popular belief, I'm not always fun. BUT he accepts me and truly loves me for who I am. I am so grateful to have a husband that is willing to learn with me everything that we need to do to become better for eachother and for our future. He means everything to me and I cherish our very special and sacred relationship.

Woah... where did that come from? :)

Anyway. This week I learned that LOVE IS....

getting pinned to ground by Biggy Nealsons and Leonard while they both try to give me as many kisses as possible.

***Note to self: tell Neal that it is NOT okay for him to lick my face like Lenny does....
