Leonard and Us

If you watch the movie (or read the book) Marley and Me, you would get a tiny glimpse into our life with a puppy. Don't get me wrong, Leonard is a great dog and we love him very much- but wow... he is a lot of work. He's always pushing the boundaries for Neal and I but we're trying to "stick to our guns". For me, however, it's quite hard. I give in to those puppy eyes almost everytime!
After 3 restless nights of sleep, it got to the point last night where we realized that something has got to change. Neal did his due diligence and researched online how to train a puppy. Come to find out- everything we were attempting to do to train him was the exact opposite of what we should have been doing. We weren't training him, he was training us ha ha
Now that we know some good tips and pointers on how to train, we're hoping that things will get better :)Loenard has a special talent of driving us both to the point of insanity but we can't help but laugh in every situation. I always go back to thinking, "Out of all the dogs in the world, he chose our own little 'Marley'" :)

  2. of course he kept us from halloween celebrations! He's crazy and has us wrapped around his paws haha! We went to Thriller the Thursday before Halloween and left during intermission because we felt so bad he was at the house alone in the dark! How said is that??? We are so lame. And then- the night of Halloween we decided to just stay in with him and get the trick or treaters haha He had fun answering the door with me in his witch costume :) You need to come meet him!!!
